Le week-end dernier, mes copines et moi sommes partis à la découverte de la jolie Vienne, en Autriche ! J'avais très envie de découvrir ce pays (merci Instragram !) et j'avais déjà fait un peu de repérage en amont grâce à Pinterest et ma carte CityMaps2Go mais au delà du palais de Schönbrunn, la ville et le pays restait un peu mystérieux pour moi.
Last week-end, I went to discover the lovely Vienna with my two best friends, yay! I was really excited about discovering Austria, as I had seen a lot of nice pictures on Instagram. I had looked up a few things on Pinterest and CityMaps2Go but other than that, I didn't have any specific things in mind.
Vienne m'a ravie. J'ai beaucoup aimé l'architecture, j'ai aimé la taille de la ville, j'ai aimé le canal, j'ai aimé les Schnitzel et les Apfelstrudel, j'ai aimé le Präter, j'ai aimé découvrir que Sissi était une peste :-)
All in all, I really liked Vienna. I enjoyed the architecture, the size of the city, its canal, its Schnitzel and Apfelstrudel, the Präter and discovering that Princess Sissi was, in fact, insufferable :-)
Verdict : je recommande Vienne ! Si vous avez l'occasion d'y aller, n'hésitez pas. Je dirai que c'est une parfaite destination pour un week-end, il n'y a que deux heures de vol et deux jours sont suffisants pour visiter la plupart de la ville. Tout le centre ville est facilement faisable à pied et le deuxième jour peut être dédié au Palais de Schönbrunn, qui lui est pour le coup plus éloigné. Évidemment, la nourriture et les petits bars à cocktail trop cools n'enlèvent rien au charme de la ville 😉
I would definitely recommend visiting Vienna whenever you have the opportunity to do so, I believe it's a really good destination for a weekend trip: it just takes 2 hours to fly there and two days are enough. You can do most of the city by walking around and most of it can be done in one, full day, which leave you with another day to go to Schönbrunn palace. The fact that the food and drinks are pretty cool doesn't hurt either 😉
